How is the program delivered?

The World of Work Program is delivered through interactive workshops, learning activities, career coaching, and multimedia content. It’s a blended learning experience delivered via an innovative  online platform, Howspace.

Participants will speak to real people, often in real time, with the option to access recordings if you prefer self-paced learning at a time that suits you.

We’ll also be offering an in-person program for those of you who can’t access virtual platforms easily.

As soon as you sign up, you’ll have full access to all six program modules and resources until the end of April 2023.

Will I get a job at the end of this?

The program will definitely equip you with the skills, insights and support you need to find your next role.

You’ll also have many opportunities to connect with our employer partners to learn more about them and hear of the great roles that are available.

How long does it take?

While it’s completely self-paced, the World of Work will take 3-12 weeks in total.

The program is made up of six modules, which vary in length, and we recommend allowing 2 weeks per module.

A good rule of thumb is to allow under an hour to go through the information, and then you might like to put extra time aside to complete the activities and put what you learn into action!

We know your time is valuable and we understand that everyone’s experience and needs are different – so you may not choose to complete every module. We’ll support you to select a program experience that’s right for you.

Can I go at my own pace?

The World of Work is hosted on an online platform where you’ll access all the program resources and information, and a mix of live workshops together with real time coaching.

You may be able to select session times that suit you, or you can access the workshop recordings after the session.

How much does it cost?

The World of Work is funded by the National Careers Institute Partnership Grants and select partners.

Thanks to their support, you can access the full program for free.

When does the program start?

We’re excited to be taking on participants across October, November, December 2022 and January 2023!

As soon as you sign up, you’ll have full access to all six program modules and resources until the end of April 2023.

With our Australian Government funding we do have an initial capacity of 500 participants, but we hope that with financial backing of our employer partners we’ll be able to open this program again next year and offer it to even more women.

We have a number of wonderful employment partners in the pipeline and we’re excited to announce who they are very soon!

But we can say our employment partners are looking to the World of Work Program to fill a number of flexible and part time roles in all professional levels – including management roles, disability and aged care support roles, mortgage broking, retail, client and customer service, hospitality, administration and operations.

Plus, we’ll be taking on more employer partners throughout the whole program. We want to give women exposure to options AND we want to connect employers with these wonderful women.

Will I be restricted to job opportunities with those employer partners only?

The World of Work will do everything we can to support our participants find a role, but you won’t be restricted to only working with our employer partners.

Once you’ve completed the program, you’ll be better equipped to find a role that you love yourself!

Will the program help me get the training and upskilling I need?

After assessing your skills and experience, we will support you to explore training opportunities that will help you put your career plan into action
